In the works Christian Menz two worlds live simultaneously - the real and the fantasy. An artist from Prague in his works draws additional details to the most ordinary objects. For example, a kitchen skimmer turns into a portrait of a character from Star Wars by Darth Vader.

Ordinary objects also have a right to a worthy place in art.

“At some point, I realized that even the most ordinary and familiar to the human eye thing can turn into a work of art,” Christian says about his work. “I felt sorry for everyday objects. Every day we use brooms, bags, spoons, forks and other items. But what if they had feelings? I was inspired by this idea, and decided to create paintings using them. In fact, in my works, these objects acquire new properties. ”

How Menz creates his drawings

According to Christian, new ideas usually arise in him at the moment when he looks directly at a particular thing. Interesting that most of all, an artist likes to draw inspiration from grocery stores. “It is there where there are most of all bright colors that help me get a new portion of creative energy,” the artist explains.

Considering the object for his future work, the designer plays with it in his imagination. And then it simply fixes the resulting idea on paper. We will also plunge into the world of Christian's unusual works.
