In the tablet form, the basis is the active ingredient phenazepam, its dosage is 0.5, 1 or 2.5 mg. Additional elements are also present: talc, lactose, povidone, sodium pyrosulphite, calcium stearate, potato starch.

With prolonged use of an anxiolytic drug and the presence of an inadequate reaction of the body, patients may develop some undesirable consequences from the nervous system.Most often, severe dizziness is observed, the concentration of attention decreases, depression of consciousness occurs, disorientation in space and impaired coordination.

During the course of therapy, you should not drive vehicles and manage complex mechanisms that require an increased concentration of attention.

Alcohol compatibility

During the treatment with Phenazepam tablets, it is strictly forbidden to drink alcohol, since the patient significantly increases the risk of severe and dangerous side effects from the digestive tract, nervous system and emotional background. As a rule, this is manifested in an extreme degree of inadequacy, attacks of aggression and intense anger. The combined use of medication and alcohol can give a lasting negative effect for several days.

Contraindications, side effects and overdose

Among them:

  • psychosis;
  • drug dependence on psychoactive drugs.

The main side effects:

  1. Nervous system: severe fatigue, feeling of drowsiness, migraine, disorientation in space, decreased attentiveness, tremor, aggressiveness, suicidal state, hallucinations, panic attacks.
  2. Digestive system: drying out of the oral cavity, painful discomfort, bouts of vomiting, cholecystitis.
  3. Allergic reaction: rash, itching, redness.
  4. Reproductive system: decreased libido.
  5. Cardiovascular system: palpitations, shortness of breath, jumps in blood pressure, anxiety.

Cases of overdose with "Phenazepam" have also been reported.

Taking an excessive amount of the drug can lead to serious problems:

  • with heart (tachycardia, low blood pressure);
  • digestive system (vomiting, heartburn, diarrhea);

A large negative effect is exerted on the kidneys, brain and genitourinary system. Frequent abuse of tranquilizers leads to convulsions, fever, attempted suicide, coma, and death. In this case, the patient needs to rinse the stomach, take sorbents and maintain breathing.
