Jelly from oats is a long-known folk remedy for the treatment of various diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. Due to its consistency and the presence of useful substances, it has a beneficial effect not only on the entire digestive system, but also on the performance of the whole organism.

The benefits and harms of the drink

In our understanding, jelly is a gelatinous, viscous and sweet drink, which includes seasonal fruits with berries, a sweetener and, of course, starch. Purchased jelly can hardly be called a useful product, since there are a lot of sweeteners and coloring agents in the list of ingredients. Oatmeal jelly besides consistency has nothing to do with these drinks. It can rather be called a full-fledged dish, which may well replace the meal.

In ancient times, it was made so thick that the finished dish was simply cut into pieces, like jelly. Drinking jelly became only in the 12th century.

The composition of jelly is diverse:

  • vitamins A, PP, group B;
  • essential amino acids;
  • cellulose;
  • probiotics;
  • a large number of micro and macro elements.

Regular use has a beneficial effect on health:

  • improves performance, endurance;
  • cleans of harmful toxins;
  • improves metabolism;
  • saturates with useful substances;
  • strengthens the immune system;
  • reduces the level of "bad" cholesterol.

In addition, the drink is able to regulate fat metabolism, the work of the pancreas, gall bladder and stomach.

Therapeutic kissel is recommended for use in such diseases:

  • hypertension;
  • hepatitis, pancreatitis, cholecystitis;
  • gastritis, gastrointestinal ulcers, intestinal disorders;
  • exhaustion;
  • diabetes;
  • atherosclerosis;
  • mental and nervous disorders;
  • anemia;
  • dropsy;
  • tuberculosis.

There are no contraindications. The main thing is to take in moderate amounts indicated in the recipes, since excess mucus in the body is still undesirable.

  2. Cook over medium heat for about 40 minutes.
  3. Strain the broth. Rub the remaining flakes through a fine sieve and add to the broth.

Izotov Oat Kissel

Kisel Izotova was tested and registered by her inventor in the early 90s of the twentieth century. The recipe for cooking quickly spread among fans of traditional medicine, but official representatives also recognized its unique properties. The cooking technology is quite complicated:

  1. Pour oat flakes into a large 3-liter glass bowl. Pour in 0.5 tbsp. kefir and add to the top of the water with a temperature of 25-28 degrees.
  2. Leave in the room for 30-48 hours. The infusion must ferment. The time depends on the temperature in the room: if it’s cool, the process can drag on for even 72 hours. It’s important not to miss the ready moment: drinking fermented liquid is not very pleasant.
  3. Strain the fermented jelly. Rinse the remaining flakes well.
  4. Leave the filtered liquid and wait until the sediment concentrate accumulates at the bottom, without which it is impossible to prepare the leaven.
  5. Drain the liquid into another dish and transfer the sediment into a small container.
  6. 6 tbsp. l pour sediment into 400 ml of cold water, mix and put on the stove. Bring to a boil and cook for 4 minutes, not forgetting to stir, so that there are no clots.

The cooking time depends on the desired consistency of the dish. To make it thicker, it needs to be cooked longer. It is advisable to drink jelly in the morning so that at least 3 hours pass before the next meal. Eating at night is undesirable, as there will be difficulties with falling asleep.

Properly cooked jelly can bring many benefits to the body.
