Peter Xakwari is a Hungarian journalist and part-time photographer. He takes up most of the food. Not so long ago, he created a project called“Tiny Wasteland” (translated from English - "Tiny Wasteland"). In these images, miniature men meet objects in full growth, creating a masterful illusion of a microscopic universe.

The new world from improvised means

Peter worked on this project for two years. To create his paintings, the photographer uses any means at hand. This can be a sponge for dishes, and a can of sprats, and chopsticks for sushi.

To some extent, the photographer continues the tradition begun by a Japanese master named Tanaka Tatsuya. But the work of Xakwari is not inferior to the photographer from the Land of the Rising Sun. In his miniature worlds, the same large universe is displayed.

Where did the tiny wasteland begin?

Xakwari's “love” of the miniature world began with a curious case. The photographer was on vacation in the Channel Islands. The weather was disgusting. And he had to sit at home all the time. In the end, Peter got so bored that he decided to make some tiny compositions. So a tiny wasteland appeared.

So, we will go and travel on its expanses!
