Turtle Salad is a wonderful decoration for any festive table. It got its name thanks to walnuts, which are laid out on top in the form of a tortoise shell. This dish is prepared quickly enough and at the same time it is very tasty. It is also suitable for children's menus.

You can make a turtle salad according to various recipes: with chicken, with prunes, with mushrooms, with pineapples, with grapes, with smoked chicken, with kiwi, with fish, and beef.

Turtle Salad with Chicken

To prepare this salad, you will need one chicken breast, 4 eggs, 50 grams of cheese, one onion, 1 apple, 100 grams of walnuts, mayonnaise.

  1. The chicken breast must be washed, put in a pan with water. Cook on the stove for 30 minutes until cooked. Water salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Next, the eggs are boiled. After the eggs are boiled, it is necessary to separate the yolk from the protein.
  3. Chop the onion finely. Grate the cheese.
  4. Now we proceed to the direct "collection" of the prepared ingredients.
  5. For laying out the salad, a shallow, flat dish is taken. The first layer is the protein, previously crushed on a grater. The second layer scattered onions. A third layer is laid chicken, finely chopped into pieces. The fourth layer is placed frayed yolk. The fifth layer is an apple, grated. The sixth layer is put cheese. At the same time, each word is smeared with mayonnaise.

The dish can also be decorated with parsley, or lettuce.

Tortoise Salad with Prunes

Ingredients:

1 breast, 4 eggs, 1 apple, 50 grams of cheese, 1 onion, 100 grams of prunes, 100 walnuts, mayonnaise.

Cooking method:

  • Chicken fillet must be boiled until fully cooked in salted water, cooled and cut into small pieces.
  • Pour finely chopped onion with boiling water. Allow to stand in water for 5 minutes, and then drain it. A similar procedure allows you to relieve onion from bitterness.
  • Boil eggs, cool and peel. Then the proteins are separated from the yolks. After that, the yolks and proteins are rubbed separately on a fine grater.
  • Prunes are finely chopped. The walnut is chopped.
  • The apple is peeled and rubbed on a coarse grater.
  • Cheese is grated.

When all the ingredients are prepared, we proceed to lay out the "turtle" itself. First, take a shallow oval dish. The first layer is an oval-shaped protein. The second layer is laid chicken and sprinkled with onions. The apple is put in the third layer. The fourth layer is put the yolk. The fifth layer is cheese. Each layer is smeared with mayonnaise.

Preparation of the "shell": prunes are laid out and sprinkled with chopped walnuts.

Tortoise salad with mushrooms

Ingredients:

4 eggs, 1 onion, 200 grams of ham, 200 grams of mushrooms, 100 grams of hard cheese, 1 green apple, 100 grams of walnuts, 1 red bell pepper, herbs, mayonnaise.

Cooking method:

  1. Boil the eggs, separate the yolks from the proteins and grate separately on a fine grater.
  2. Finely chop the mushrooms and fry in butter for 15 minutes.
  3. Cut the ham into strips.
  4. Peel the apple and cut into small cubes.
  5. Chop walnut.
  6. Grate the cheese.
  7. Finely chop the onion and scald with boiling water

The salad must be laid out on a flat plate in the following sequence: protein, ham, onion, mushrooms, apples, yolk, cheese. Each layer is smeared with mayonnaise. Salad sprinkled on top with walnuts. Around the salad is decorated with finely chopped herbs and the remaining slices of red bell pepper.

Turtle Salad with Pineapple

Ingredients:

4 eggs, 1 chicken breast, 100 grams of cheese, 100 grams of walnuts, 1 can of canned pineapples, 1 onion, mayonnaise.

Cooking method:

Boil chicken fillet in salted water, cool and cut into small cubes. Boil the eggs, cool and separate the protein from the yolk, and then grate on a fine grater. Drain the water from pineapples and cut into small pieces. Grate the cheese. Grind walnuts (leave a few pieces for the preparation of "legs"). Finely chop the onion and scald with boiling water.

The salad is laid out on a flat plate in the following sequence: chicken, onion, pineapple, cheese, protein, yolks, nuts. Everything is smeared with mayonnaise, except for the top layer. The turtle’s head is made from half an egg, and the legs are made from whole nuts.

Ingredients:

4 eggs, 1 chicken breast, lettuce, 2 green apples, 150 grams of hard cheese, I have a seedless brush of grapes, lemon juice, mayonnaise.

  2. Cook the eggs, cool, separate the squirrels from the yolks and then rub on a coarse grater. Grate the cheese on a medium grater. Cut the grapes into halves.
  3. Peel the apple and grate it on a coarse grater.

It is necessary to take a flat shallow dish, on which first lettuce leaves are laid out a little bit sprinkled with lemon juice. Next, chicken is placed on lettuce leaves. Ingredients:

Ingredients:
