Steamed fish in a slow cooker is an ideal dish that comes out tender, tasty, low-calorie and very useful. It will be a wonderful lunch if you cook it with the addition of other products, or a light dinner in its own right.

Classic recipe

If you decide to cook fish for a couple for the first time, then first use the traditional method to evaluate the full potential of this dish, unclouded by additional ingredients.

Essential Ingredients:

  • water for steam;
  • one or two pieces of fish fillet, any, to your liking;
  • seasonings optional.

Cooking process:

  1. Prepare the fish fillet, sprinkle with selected spices, use a little salt and black pepper. You can buy a ready-made mixture of herbs specifically for fish.
  2. Place the pieces in a special multicooker tray that is designed for steaming.
  3. Pour water into the bowl. The exact amount depends on the volume of the bowl, but usually 1.5 to 2 liters is sufficient.
  4. Close the device, set the desired mode, that is, “Steamed”, and the time for 30 minutes. After this time, the dish will be completely ready for use.

How to cook in foil

It is known that dishes cooked in a steam way retain their useful properties well, but fish in foil in a slow cooker will become even more valuable and tender.

Essential Ingredients:

  • approximately 100 grams of sour cream;
  • a pound of fish fillet or just pieces;
  • spices to your taste;
  • half a lemon.

Cooking process:

  1. We wash the fish, if necessary, divide into pieces of medium size. Sprinkle them well with spices, any to your taste, and coat with sour cream. Some use mayonnaise.
  2. Cut the lemon into slices, put it on the foil, on top - fish and wrap everything well so that there are no gaps. We shift the workpiece into a special multicook pan.
  3. Pour water into the bowl (about one and a half liters), turn on the device in the “Steam cooking” mode and wait half an hour.

With potatoes

Essential Ingredients:

  • half a kilogram of any fish;
  • seasonings to your liking;
  • about 20 grams of butter;
  • 5 to 6 potatoes;
  • half a lemon.

Cooking process:

  1. We prepare the fish, wash it, dry it, cut it into portion pieces and sprinkle it well with spices.
  2. We also free the potatoes from the skins, cut them into slices and wipe them with seasonings, based on their taste preferences.
  3. We shift the potatoes and fish onto a tray for steaming, cover the products with slices of lemon on top and cook in the “Steamed” mode for about 30 minutes. Readiness is determined by potatoes, and served with butter.

Steamed fish with vegetables in a slow cooker

Fish and vegetables - an independent dish, a healthy and hearty dinner for the whole family.

Such a dish can be consumed in most chronic gastrointestinal pathologies, as well as for everyone who simply follows a healthy diet.

Essential Ingredients:

  • three tablespoons of sour cream;
  • about 300 grams of low-fat fish;
  • various seasonings to your liking;
  • fresh greens;
  • broccoli and cauliflower - 100 grams each;
  • one bell pepper.

Cooking process:

  1. We wash all these vegetables, prepare. Cut the top off the pepper and remove the seeds, cut the flesh into small cubes. We divide cabbage into inflorescences.
  2. We cut the fish into portions, process it first with spices, and then with sour cream.
  3. We place everything on a special tray - first fish, then vegetables. Salt the foods a bit.
  4. Pour the right amount of water (about one and a half liters) into the bowl, turn on the “Steam” mode for 20 minutes. The exact time depends on the model of the device, the type of fish and the size of the portioned portions.
  5. After the end of the program, serve the dish, sprinkled with chopped fresh herbs.

Cooking with Rice

Essential Ingredients:

  • approximately 300 grams of rice in dry form;
  • spices to your liking;
  • a pound of fish;
  • 0.5 liters of water.

Cooking process:

  1. Rinse the rice so that the water becomes almost transparent. Put it in the bowl of the multicooker and fill it with water, not forgetting to season with spices.
  2. Divide the fish into portions, sprinkle them with selected seasonings too and sprinkle with lemon juice a little.
  3. On the rice in the bowl, place the wire rack and then the steaming tray. Put the fish in it.
  4. Close the appliance and cook on the “Rice” program for about 15 minutes. This should be enough so that both rice and fish reach the desired state.

Steamed fish cutlets

Essential Ingredients:

  • approximately 500 grams of any fish;
  • seasonings, based on their taste preferences;
  • two slices of bread;
  • one onion.

Cooking process:

  1. Peel and chop the onion, soak the bread in water, put everything in a medium-sized container.
  2. Clean the fish if you don’t have the fillet. First cut into pieces, and then pass through a meat grinder. You can use a blender, but then the mass will come out completely mashed.
  3. Combine the onions and bread with minced fish, season everything with spices, mix well.
  4. Place water (about 1.5 liters) in the multicooker bowl, and mold round billets from the fish mass and put them in a steam tray.
  5. Turn on the appliance for the “Steam cooking” program and wait 30 minutes.

Steam red fish

Red fish is quite expensive, but it always turns out to be just a delicious dish. Most often it is baked, but try at least once to make it a couple.

Essential Ingredients:

  • several steaks of red fish;
  • two tablespoons of olive oil;
  • spices to your liking;
  • a spoonful of soy sauce.

Cooking process:

  1. In a bowl, place the indicated amount of olive oil, soy sauce, and very little black pepper. Shuffle.
  2. Rinse the fish steaks, wipe with paper towels so that they are completely dry, and put in a container with mixed marinade. Put the workpiece in the refrigerator for several hours so that everything is well saturated.
  3. Pour water into the bowl of the multicooker, be sure to pour seasonings there. It will be very tasty if you add bay leaves and dry herbs.
  4. After the allotted time, transfer the steaks to the steam tray, install it in the appliance and turn on the “Steam” program.
  5. After about 15 to 20 minutes, the fish will be ready. The exact time depends on the power of the device and the thickness of the pieces of fish placed in it.
